Our science, technology, engineering, art, and music (STEAM) focused school has had a successful first year of learning and growth. And the best is yet to come! Indy STEAM Academy (ISA) is thrilled to expand to include 6th grade for the 2022-23 school year. 

Since our opening last August, we’ve been proud to watch countless “a ha!” moments of discovery in our students. Whether it’s in our state-of-the-art science laboratory, our tech filled classrooms, the large gymnasium or our joyful playground, Indy STEAM students are growing, learning and having fun on the way to a prosperous future.

K-6 students want to be challenged, engaged and to learn exciting new things–and to move! We’ve designed our school day to be hands-on and minds-on to make learning authentic and meaningful.

We offer: 

• 90 minutes of daily STEAM instruction 
• LEGO, robotics and coding classes

• Strong literacy foundation
• Intramural and competitive athletics
• Industry visits, field trips & college tours
• 60 minutes of extra reading and math help built into the day
• After school programs
• Transportation

We help students become aware of available STEM careers and provide opportunities to learn through job shadowing, industry visits, and junior internships. Indy STEAM students visit STEM companies to learn what they produce and the roles of engineers and scientists.

Our building is intentionally designed to support our young innovators. Students make great use of our science and engineering labs to create and problem solve. Every classroom is equipped with SmartBoard technology and our highly-qualified teachers are skilled in using technology in the most engaging and effective ways.
