Failure is NOT an Option!

The high-paying, high-demand jobs of the future are within grasp for Indy STEAM Academy students. That’s because we are determined to provide access to the dreams of each and every student who walks through our doors.  You could say we’ve “failure-proofed” our school by creating a learning community that sets children up for success.

When we say failure is NOT an option, we mean that we do everything in our power to help the children of Indianapolis succeed. Here’s what you’ll find when you enroll at Indy Steam Academy:

Extra Time on Task

When children are actively engaged and curious about learning, they are less likely to be bored. Our learning is hands-on, with dedicated daily time to high interest subjects like science, technology, engineering, and arts in our state-of-the-art labs. Students also receive 90 minutes of extra help during the school day on reading and math fundamentals.

Core Values

Building strong character is fundamental to success. Our Six Pillars of Character act as our moral compass and represent the foundation for everything we do at Indy STEAM Academy. Classroom lessons support students to develop:

  • Trust
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Fairness
  • Caring
  • Citizenship

Highly Qualified Teachers

Each and every one of our teachers is considered highly qualified by the State of Indiana.  The many years of experience and expertise among our staff contributes to our positive learning culture, where each child is valued and cared for.

After School Tutoring and Homework Help

Our teachers are not only experts in their fields, they know our Indy students’ strengths and areas for improvement.  We offer after school tutoring and homework help so every student gets the support or extra time they need.

Smaller Class Size

No one gets lost in our school! Small class sizes means that we get to know each other like family. Students are greeted with a smile and hello every morning by staff. We are able to offer 1 on 1 instruction for students and personalized lessons for each unique child.

Longer School Day and Longer School Year

The Indy STEAM school year is 5 days longer than the traditional public school year. By planning for 7 hours of daily instruction, our students will receive 370 more hours of learning time (which is 52 more days!). More time in school = more time to learn.

Transportation

Getting to school is the first step to success. Indy STEAM Academy is proud to offer transportation for the 2022-2023 school year. Lean on us to make sure your child arrives each and every day to learn in a safe environment.

Indy STEAM Academy promises to educate the children of Indianapolis in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics so they can go on to high-wage jobs right here in our great city. Enroll today for the 2022-23 school year to partner with us on this promise for your child.
